One of Saskatchewan's most prominent First Nations chiefs has been arrested, and is now facing four criminal charges.
Onion Lake chief Wallace Fox had been the subject of an RCMP investigation ever since an assault complaint on May 18th. Police said the complaint originated from a home on the First Nation.
On Monday, Fox was arrested without incident and charged with two counts of assault, along with possession of a knife and uttering threats to damage property.
